Multimedia Object Theatre
Company
Àlex Serrano Tarragó first graduated in industrial design and founded the company Agrupación after studying directing at the Theatre Institute Barcelona. The company started off in 2006, combining means of visual theatre and interactive technologies in its multimedia projects.
Performance
Various cameras, visual axes, miniature models, a flock of Gummi bears with four performers, chemical effects, subversive actions and multi-layered film projections on several screens are used to depict tsunamis, volcano eruptions, ice ages, nuclear catastrophes, wars and genocides as well as our reaction to these disasters.Catastrophe is narrating the fictitious story of a valley and the advanced civilization inhabiting it which is destroying itself. The play is examining the interrelation between the forces of nature and human force. And it is ultimately asking if nature's indifference to men does justify the indifference of humans towards other humans.
