Since the Dresden brass band Banda Comunale teamed up with musicians from Syria, Iraq, Iran and Burkina Faso, Banda Internationale has become one of the most exciting band projects from the Saxon capital. The musicians blend traditional and contemporary rhythms from their countries of origin, mixing Afrobeats and Arabian melodies with Latin cumbias, dirty rock ‘n’ roll, funk and ska.
