Divadlo Kvelb

Kvelb is a group of artists from _eské Bud_jovice. The members of Kvelb consider themselves a puppet theatre although they also work with other theatrical elements drawn from dramatic, movement and image theatre, music and acrobatics.

Performance
Taming fire, lending it a sculptural form, manipulating its flames; playing with the destructive elemental force, creating figures from it, as one would out of other elements and materials. By means of gigantic burning panels of wire mesh, which are animated by several performers, mobile magical fire figurines are brought to life. Phoenix is a quick-change artist, appearing among other things as a floating and dancing spirit, as a crawling insect and a rolling and riding creature of fables.
