Concert
Django Lassi
Berlin/Germany
To describe the style of this sextet as gypsy swing would be to fall short of the mark. The band’s name nods to their connection to the jazz manouche tradition and Django Reinhard. Consequently, his compositions form the basis of many of their pieces. But Django Lassi also sample Balkan groove and open their musical horizons in every conceivable direction, resulting in a melting pot of various influences and a world of sound to dance to.
