Performance
Based on an unpublished draft by Heiner Müller this production comes close to Antonin Artaud and his extreme artistic positions and visions. Here the conflict between Artaud’s French-Catholic education and his yearning for a free, impulsive life is central. In a series of associative images, Double tells of the struggle against the repression of the body and its exploitation by religious ideas and ideologies as well as the quest to find a way to regain dignity and truthfulness.
