The Smallest Woman on Earth

Performance
Here anything that shrinks is desirable; happiness can be found in the miniature. A man is obsessed by small women, by ever smaller women, by the smallest of the small the world has to offer. The smaller they are, the tenderer he is and the greater is his love. The performance combines elements of variety theatre with clichés drawn from entertainment and magic shows and their ironisation, setting in motion an at times unconcernedly morbid, at times childishly cruel love play between puppets and people. They play for proportions, perspectives, metamorphoses, illusions and for whatever remains when one unconditionally pursues the object of one’s affections.
