Multimedia theatre, 60 min. , In German
A square of transparent walls, diagonally positioned in the centre of the stage. A virtual, imaginary space, in which a couple is trapped. An interior of their subconscious, full of curious creatures, comic events and dark urges. New picture puzzles arise: streets, waves, flames. Attraction and repulsion –as Sigmund Freud famously said, the ego is not the master in one’s own house. Based on his three-part model of the psyche, the play visualises Freud’s theory of the powerful unconscious and throws a finely spun web over the audience, consisting of the id, the ego and the superego, by means of movement theatre, projections and text.
Meinhardt Krauss Feigl consist of figure player Iris Meinhardt, director Michael Krauss, video artist Oliver Feigl and composer Thorsten Meinhardt. In this line-up, they have been developing plays since 2003, which are situated mostly at the overlap between puppet theatre, film, new media and contemporary music, and which are invigorated by an intensive exchange between these art fields.
