Movement theatre with live music, 35 Min., Nonverbal
Reinhard Heydrich: the ideal image of an SS leader, cold-hearted manager
and callous executioner. A hatchet man, but also an excellent swordsman
and virtuoso violinist. He put his exceptional talents at the service
of an inhuman ideology and intoxicated himself with absolute power. The
production is a powerful physical study of military sports exercises,
elements of ballroom dance, patterns of movement in ecstatic rhythm and
sharp cuts between the individual sequences. The result is an image of a
key figure in the Nazi movement – of corruption, manipulation and the
desire for destruction.
