Company
Plasma is a company of theatre performers, musicians and visual artists collaborating under the direction of Lukas Bangerter. Together with actor Wowo Habdank, Bangerter founded Plasma in the year 2000. The company has meanwhile realised nine projects which can be regarded as living installations or staged concerts.
Performance
An endless bar propping up creatures of the night who have been catapulted out of the flow of time and now sit watching as life passes them by. A last tango of transience: you order your last beer, the room grows more warped by the minute, and the taxi arrives way sooner than you had hoped. The boundaries between the imaginary, memory and real experience are shifting and a Hammond organ takes care of the rest. Restless stasis, human tristesse. With its humorously light imagery Delirium tells of the omnipresence of death in looking at one’s own existence. A slow theatrical rotation around the realm of the ever so human, with sorrowful-joyful songs in an atmosphere reminiscent of Kaurismäki and Edward Hopper.
