Music Theatre Soirée Loosely Based on A. Chekhov
Company
The three musicians and performers, Volker Schindel, Rainer Killius and Tobias Dutschke, have been working together for many years in different constellations with a strong focus on the development of experimental music theatre and music theatre soirées. The chamber trio also performed at UNIDRAM in 2007.
Performance
Three dadaistic gentlemen reveal uncomfortable truths on the piano and accordion: between them they have twelve sisters! But one really should have known that Irina, Olga and Mascha together with their longing and melancholy are actually at home in Hesse-Baden-Brandenburg. For it is there that this male trio’s personal memories of childhood and youth truly lie: stories that seem to come from One Thousand and No Nights and simultaneously provide the source of one of the most absurd dismantlings of Chekhov ever seen in the theatre: mirthfully failing, heart-rending and highly musical.
