Long Night Of Experiments
International Film FestivalEvery year the International Student Film Festival sehsüchte brings together young filmmakers and an enthusiastic audience. Main sections are the competition and the programme. A jury of distinguished members judges the works of the young filmmakers in an international competition and gives lucrative awards. Next year sehsüchte takes place for the 38th time in the Thalia-Kinos in Babelsberg from 21. - 26. April. Film enthusiasts of all shades will be offered innovative and impressive gems from young international film.
Experimental Films
Kafka gets attacked by his type-writer and metamorphoses into a flying insect. A park bench, a parking meter and a strange couple populate the maybe shortest Western movie in history with only a single shot fired. And a ballet of geometrical shapes and changing colours dancing to the minimal music of Steve Reich – for the first time UNIDRAM presents, in cooperation with the sehsüchte team of the International Student Film Festival, experimental short films by young film makers, selected from the program and generating a surreal, absurd and amusing mini cinema.
