„Porywacze Cial („Body Snatchers Theatre) have been a theatre group since 1992. Formed by two graduates of the Wroclaw School of Theatre, the group has come to be regarded as the „wild young thing of the Polish fringe scene and is symptomatic for developments on the scene in recent years. Teatr Usta Usta, which has been around for two years now, belongs to the same scene.

»Artificial Respiration« Outdoor Performance
German Première
The woods by night, the noise of the metropolis in place of silence, sounds of the opera, of Elvis crooning and furious shooting. A strange trio has wound up here by mistake: a soldier, a prostitute and an employee. A bizarre lounge party? Giant blood-red bladders, shadowy bodies thrusting against the membrane from within. Men in protective clothing water artificial flowers, test-tube-shaped structures in blazing light. A surreal and pseudoromantic midsummer night’s dream between Disneyland, Apocalypse Now and New Economy. Rich in images, it is a sceptical journey through a disaster area of American myth. Ultimately it is not your average piece to be playing in the open air on the conflict between nature and culture, on urban terror and people who fall by the wayside in their search for identity.
