Performance
Disintegration, loss of power, failure, corruption are the themes of this performance as are ageing and the transition from life to death. In the midst of it all: the king and the fool. The latter confronts Lear with his delusional world whereas Lear, plagued by painful memories and a sense of foreboding, sees ghosts of past and future times before him. They are borderliners, both of them, up to no good with their gloomy poetry and the metamorphosis of puppetry, corporeal theatre and masquerade which tell of an overwhelming human conflict.
