Movement and the dynamic of objects in space are the main protagonists here: a broom, a drum cymbal, a pyramid, a baton, a table and a whole raft of diabolos. All of them are searching for space for their own performance. For a short time, they come alive, as if by magic. And so begins a circensian-dadaistic obstacle course that two jugglers keep going with the help of a cord-pulley system. Everything is rotating, wobbling, dancing, swinging – and it sometimes gets loud. In the interface between art installation and performance, the audience can find its way from activity to activity, from place to place, following the action from close up or from a distance.

As a diabolo virtuoso, Roman Müller revolutionised the art of juggling. In 2015 he founded the cirqu’ festival in Aarau and within a few short years it had evolved into an internationally recognised hub for contemporary circus art. Jörg Müller inhabits the space between circus, dance, performance and music – sometimes as a soloist or in a group, pushing boundaries far beyond the mainstream. With the duo’s first collaborative work as Müller&Müller, OI+IO, they turn their attention to the movement and dynamic of objects, which thus become the performance’s central protagonists.
