Since 1989, AXE has been as at home working with film, video, painting and photography as it was previously in the theatre. Their performances are full of absurdities, bizarre objects and citations from the art world. The result is an ironic eclecticism, that seeks to unite the sublime with the banal.

Could it be that this evening finally establishes the long-awaited radio contact with the unknown astronaut, the blind former MIR passenger sacrificed to the infinite dark expanse of outer space due to the restricted number of seats in the flight cabin heading home to Mother Russia? Are naked floating dolls being flambéed in vodka with Coca Cola? Or can we expect surprise visitors from Novosibirsk, Pushkin's heirs for example? Although the fame of AXE is hard to match, although the ranks of their fans are likely to swell further after this party-performance in AXE style, their new performance has much to offer: live painting with the tried and tested duo of Maxim and Pasha on huge felt walls, timeless visionary theatre acts in the manner of revolutionary sailors, the god-like creation and destruction of risqué objects as well as uninhibited dance and medicine with DJ Andrej. But attention! Possible changes in the programme are the sole responsibility of the actors.
