The members of LOSS come from different areas of the arts; the themes they address unite them. The production presented here was put together in different stages between 2004 and 2006.
Performace
An imposing steel box, alternately a cubicle, podium or hideout. Light music by Mozart. Four figures: two parents, two teenagers. The battlefield is the family. Shifting constellations and demonstrations of power, distrust, disciplinary measures, disappointments, permanent self training, ever on the edge of catastrophe. Frustration and pressure mount; a revolt ensues. Yet transgressions are not really tolerated. This production is a gestural case study on the social core of society, subjecting the family body to a movement theatre security and risk analysis. And it shows just how much insecurity is an element of freedom.
