Short Multimedia Performance
German Première
Company
Vincent de Rooij and Daan Mathot, object artists, actors and video artists, mould the everyday world of things and materials into absurd, poetic stage spectaculars. Last year they performed Fly at the Long Night of Experiments.
Performance
Eight minutes of trainspotting Track is a performance about the production of a live short film, a tunnel vision, which gives us an inkling as to why terminal railway stations were invented and why the imagination knows no barriers; it shows us how a whistling kettle can give rise to a crazy train ride along celluloid tracks and why the profession of projectionist would be a better choice for railway conductors the world over. Yet more than anything else it is a story that refuses to be stopped.
