Théâtre du Mouvement (Montreuil/France)
Things being as they are, everything is as right as can be
Movement Theatre with Objects and Masks
German Première
Company
Claire Heggen and Yves Marc, both professional actors, co-founded the Théâtre du Mouvement. Having created over thirty productions which have been performed in some sixty different countries, they have been a major force in the realm of non-verbal theatre for decades. At the core of their work is a focus on the body and specifically on the interaction between its movements and gestures with objects or figures.
Performance
Dream and incantation. The story of a hermaphrodite and, at the same time, of an overcoat with which the absence (or loss) of a loved one is varied. The material legacy sets memory in motion, re-invents the poetry of the past relationship; a textile for quaint disguises, veilings and metamorphoses, for chimeras, masks and figures. A fairytale, fragile, almost meditative solo of an imagination.
