Company
Max Vandervorst is a musician and an inventor of instruments. Since 1988 he has staged plays involving instruments he designed out of the most diverse objects. He also composes theatre music and his inventive spirit is at the heart of the realisation of the well-known Maison de la Pataphonie in Dinant (Belgium).
Marc Hérouet is a pianist and also arranges and composes music. He is one of the founding members of the Belgian band Wallace Collection, known all over the world in the 60-ties and 70-ties. He writes soundtracks for films and contributes to many musical projects ranging from chansons, jazz and New Music.
Performance
A sonata for tin cans or an intermezzo for metal canteens, an etude for a disposable razor or a short waltz on the Bouteillophone - with his arsenal of sounds, Max Vandervorst places the ears on the trail of spurned, thrown away and disregarded things. The musical messages from everyday objects merge into a playful concert for the eyes, for all lovers of scrap and trash. It does not only narrate bizarre stories, but also provides the stories of its producers; music which is very close to the zero point of its origins: poetic, gentle and fragile.
