Antoine Birot, musician, composer and construction artist, is the inventor of LaRIO, the Laboratoire de Recherche pour un Imaginaire Onirique or Research Laboratory for an Oneiric Imaginary.
Performance
The winding and grinding of cogwheels, piston rods and other mechanical parts. One machine after the other switches itself on; a universe comes into being, from creation to chaos. Amid this giant clockwork a wire figure searches for a little dancer …. Tender (machine) images of dreamy timeless poetry spring from this theatrical perpetuum mobile of sonorous materials, constructions, projections and animations.
