The Croatian fringe theatre scene owes much to Damir Bartol Indos, whose early performances are regarded as having delivered a formative stylistic impetus. Having worked as a freelance performer since 1988, the philosophy graduate is a sought-after performer, both nationally and internationally.

Multimedia Performance
The earth trembles. A tangled, kinetic installation made up of scrap parts, of monitors and motors. Rotating, vibrating steel. A labyrinthine cage of cassette tapes, wires, chains, hoses and dense smoke. Inside is a person, defenceless and threatened. A fight for survival at breakneck speed, in secret ceremony. A giant human machine, in which someone is burning, someone is crying.
Here the body writes the text: trance-like, explosive, wild, rebelling against the iron and the sheet metal avalanches of this world. Singing, dancing, declaiming. The sounds and rhythms of the raw cities bore into your brain and you watch the urban ecstasies, executions and (exhaustive) creations while you work. That is not a reason to run over my child I will call the POLICE.
